Easter Road, Home of Hibernian FC: In Support of Hibernian Community Foundation

Playing at Easter Road in May was something special. For many of the lads it was a boyhood dream, and to do it while raising money for Hibernian Community Foundation made the day even better. The Foundation does brilliant work across the local community, so it felt great to give something back.

We could not have asked for better weather. Not a cloud in the sky and the sun beating down on Leith. Both teams handled the heat well and put on a cracking game. There were quality goals at both ends and everyone gave it everything from the first whistle.

With around 15 minutes to go the blue team held a narrow 4-3 lead. Yellow pushed hard for an equaliser but the blues stayed strong and struck twice late on to seal a 6-3 win. Score aside, the real highlight was seeing so many of the lads living out a dream on the Easter Road pitch.

Highlight of the Match

Jamie Lauder lit the place up with a stunning left foot strike from outside the box, right into the top corner. A proper moment of magic.
